Lesson 6: Rolling over to make a ten-thousand + 1

Nine (9) is the highest digit that can be written in any column. Adding one
to make 10 means we need to use the next place value column.
9 + 1 = 10 99 + 1 = 100 999 + 1 = 1,000
9,999 + 1 = 10,000 19,999 + 1 = 20,000
Use place value money to show how 10 one-dollar notes are swapped for 1
ten-dollar note.
